Pinterest, we have a love-hate relationship. According to Wikipedia "Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies, and more. Users can browse other pinboards for inspiration, 're-pin' images to their own pinboards, or 'like' photos." You are probably thinking it sounds harmless right? Well, you'd be wrong. It's more addicting than crack, more time consuming than children and will do a number on your self-esteem. Why, you ask? Because you will see hundreds of "pins" (often "do-it-yourself crafts") and think "I CAN DO THAT!" Unfortunately, you can't. Instead you will make countless trips to various craft stores (sometimes with your unsuspecting 7 month old in tow), drive your husband to drink and end up realizing you are just not "crafty." You will have a glass of wine, retire your most recent project to the "back bedroom" (aka: where crafts go to die) and head off to bed, pledging to do real "work" tomorrow. The next morning, you will find yourself BACK on www.pinterest.com and somehow, just somehow, find a project that screams "Even a blind 4 year old could do that project!" and the cycle begins again. This blog will be a truthful look at all of my "attempts" at Pinterest crafts and DIY projects (and possibly some recipes). Hopefully you can learn from my mistakes and avoid some hot glue burns, wire cutter gouges and paint stained carpet in the process!
